Abstract.

Macao needs structural reforms to mitigate risks from external shocks

through appropriate economic diversification. GIS spatial analysis and multiple

regression methods were employed to explore the spatial clustering characteristics

of Macao's consumer service industry and the key factors influencing its economic

space. Results revealed a dual-core agglomeration pattern centered around

the Senado Square-Monte Forte section and the Cotai Strip, with hierarchical disparities:

Macao Peninsula > Cotai > Taipa > Coloane. Proximity to tourist attractions,

residential areas, and transportation hubs could boost economic vitality,

while road network density exerted a negative impact, and parking infrastructure

showed no significant effect.
